Whether you are new to bush walking or an experienced walker, the peninsula has no shortage of places to explore and enjoy the great outdoors. There are 59 walks in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park alone, varying in length and degree of difficulty.
The Bicentennial Coastal Walk is a series of 11 headland pathways and lookouts connecting Manly and Palm Beach. For a classic walk look no further than the 9.2km Spit to Manly – pack your bathers as there are plenty of spots for swimming along the way.
Good preparation can make a walk all the more memorable, safe and fun so don’t forget to pack a map and tell someone where you are headed. Ensure you wear the right clothes and shoes for the terrain. Take plenty of food, water and a first aid kit and above all consider your environment.
